GMC has revealed a teaser that gives us our first look at the next-generation GMC Terrain, the successor to the brand’s popular compact SUV. Here are some of the things we expect from this new model, which should be fully unveiled later this year. A Bolder Design The 2025 GMC Terrain will benefit from a bolder and more assertive design than the current model, with items such as a larger front...
Buick has now fully unveiled the refreshed 2025 Enclave, the latest version of its luxurious three-row SUV. Thanks to multiple improvements in terms of design, technology, and powertrains, the new Enclave is sure to remain a favourite of families who want more space and comfort than many other SUVs can offer.
A modernized appearance
The most apparent change for the new 2025 Buick Enclave is, of course, its brand-new exterior design which follows the new direction introduced by the Encore GX and Envista last year. This means that the new Enclave features elements such as a large trapezoidal grille, checkmark LED daytime running lights, separate LED headlamps, a full-width light bar in the rear, and new alloy wheel designs. Inside, the 2025 Buick Enclave also features the latest design trends coming from Buick and General Motors, such as the single curved panel on top of the dashboard that integrates both the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment screen. In addition, the new Enclave benefits from a new three-spoke steering wheel that puts all of the most important controls at the driver’s fingertips and gives a more modern and luxurious look to the interior.
A host of advanced technologies
The 2025 Buick Enclave is the most technologically advanced Buick model ever offered thanks to its long list of standard and available features, which includes the impressive Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system, a first for the brand. As in other GM models, this system uses cameras and sensors to follow lane lines without requiring assistance from the driver on mapped highways all across North America, making long drives safer and more enjoyable. The new Enclave also benefits from the advanced Google Built-in infotainment system which offers many advantages over competing systems, such as native support for Google Maps navigation, the Google Assistant, Google Play, and Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. By integrating most of the vehicle’s controls within its standard 30-inch screen, this system makes for an uncluttered cabin that has plenty of space for storage.
A new, more powerful engine
The 2025 Buick Enclave is also new under the skin since it receives a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine in place of the former V6 powertrain. Despite its fewer cylinders and its smaller capacity, of 2.5 litres, this engine delivers more power and more torque than the old V6, with an output of 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, making for strong accelerations and ample passing power at any speed. This new engine is also paired with a new eight-speed automatic transmission in place of the former nine-speed unit. While official consumption figures are not available yet, we can expect this new powertrain to be more efficient than the one it replaces.
